Welcome to Cannock Chase National Landscape
Situated in the heart of Staffordshire, Cannock Chase National Landscape is the smallest National Landscape on mainland England but packs significant ecological value, with extensive lowland heathland designated a Special Area of Conservation. The plateau of forest, heath, grassland and mixed farmland supports priority species including nightjar, woodlark and adder, and welcomes millions of visitors each year.
The Cannock Chase Joint Committee, made up of local authorities and partners, implements the Management Plan with support from NGOs, landowners and community groups. Priorities include heathland and woodland enhancement, sustainable recreation, heritage protection and community access.
Corporates can invest in projects enhancing SAC habitats, strengthening visitor experiences, extending ecological monitoring and linking recreation with wellbeing outcomes, and reinforcing ESG narratives around nature restoration and community benefit.
